Tickets Go Onsale for Big Slick Party & Show Year 10
Kansas City, Mo. (April 1, 2019) – Tickets go on sale this week for Big Slick Celebrity Weekend’s year 10 celebration. For the 10-year celebration the main event, Big Slick Party & Show, will move to Sprint Center on Saturday, June 8.
The venue change means more tickets will be available for the public to purchase giving many more Kansas Citians the opportunity to attend. In addition to the new location, organizers are also hinting at a ‘more music, more comedy’ change in Saturday night’s format. Celebrity guests and performers will be announced over the coming months.
What started in 2010 as a small poker tournament is now a highly anticipated, nationally renowned, annual star-studded weekend that contributes millions to pediatric cancer research. Hosts Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet are all returning, along with an army of generous celebrity friends.
For 2019, Big Slick is launching a new creative campaign, “Serious Fun.” The campaign is designed to showcase the serious impact Big Slick makes for patients, families and staff - while at the same time being a weekend of lighthearted, goof-filled celebrity fun. Lines including “it takes a lot of work to play this hard,” “we take our fun seriously” and “laughter is serious medicine” will be featured on various Big Slick promotional materials.
