In the Fall of 2007, Sprint Center will help usher in a new era in sports and entertainment in Kansas City. Kansas City has long been one of the "best kept secrets" in the United States, but that is about to change.
Downtown Kansas City is currently undergoing a major revitalization, converting an aging city core into a vibrant and energizing downtown. With over $3 billion in construction underway, there is currently more activity and investment in downtown Kansas City than in any other city in the United States.
Sprint Center will be the cornerstone in the revitalization and renaissance of downtown Kansas City
In addition to the arena, the area will feature condominiums, restaurants, themed bars, movie and live entertainment theaters and mixed retail. Upon its 2007 completion, Sprint Center will be listed among the finest arenas in the country and will become Kansas City’s home for basketball, hockey, concerts, family shows and special events. A public / private partnership between the City of Kansas City and AEG, the $276 million Sprint Center will help change the face of downtown Kansas City and become the destination place for sports and live entertainment for many years to come.
